JENNY BAEK

Jenny Baek started her golf career late in life after finishing a great tennis career. Unlike most golf professionals who grew up in golfing households, Jenny’s parents did not play golf. In fact, Jenny didn’t even start playing golf until the age of 20, as opposed to most young girls start who start at the age of 6 or 7. Unbelievably, within five years, she practiced her way into a professional career. Her 10 hour days of practicing paid off. In 1992, Jenny completed a six month professional training school with her famous classmates Se Ri Pak and Mi Hyun Kim. In 1993 she began her teaching career at the Sports World Golf Center in Seoul, Korea. From 1993 to 1996, she taught golfers of all levels the fundamentals of the golf swing. In 1996, Jenny obtained a membership into the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association. From 1996 to 2001, Jenny continued her teaching career at Hyo Sung Golf Center in Seoul. While teaching at Hyo Sung, she participated in KLPGA Tournaments, finishing in the top twenty several times. In 2001, Jenny came to the United States and began her American teaching career at Alley Pond Golf Center. She has been an important member of the Alley Pond family, making Korean speaking customers feel at home by speaking their native tongue during lessons. Jenny’s hands-on method of teaching and her eye for detail has proven quite successful. Just watch one of her lessons, Jenny’s students have perfect swings. Her patience and gentle guidance, encourages her students to perfect their swings through countless hours of practice… just like Jenny did when she learned the game just 12 short years ago.
